Beyonce reveals the twins to the world.
The “Lemonade” singer took to Instagram early Friday morning to share the first photo of Rumi and Sir Carter.
“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” she captioned the photo alongside several emojis.
The photo shoot’s theme bears similarities to that of Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement. Draped in a flowy purple robe and turquoise veil, Beyonce holds the twins close to her bosom.
Beyonce’s upload comes two days after she was spotted with husband JAY-Z at Nobu in Malibu, California. It was the couple’s first public appearance since welcoming the babies.
Details surrounding the twins’ birth have been scarce and fairly unknown. What fans do know is that Beyonce conceived the twins naturally, thanks in part to JAY-Z’s lyrics on his title track 4:44.
In the short documentary titled Footnotes for 4:44, the Brooklyn rapper confessed his marriage to Beyonce wasn’t built on a strong foundation.
“This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking,” JAY-Z shared.
“Things start happening that the public can see,” he recalled. “Then we had to get to a point of ‘OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning.’ It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
He said it was realizing that only honesty could sustain their nuptials.
“We’ve been in that space where we just got to the place that in order for this to work, it can’t be fake—not once. I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable because obviously, it was, but because we’ve been doing it for so long it was less uncomfortable.”
The pair seems to have stuck to their vow of transparency because Beyonce is said to have had major input into the making of the album.
