Evelyn Lozada and Carl Crawford have called it quits.
The Basketball Wives: Los Angeles cast member and her 34-year-old baseball playing ex have decided to not marry after nearly five years of dating.
“They did break up but it was over infidelity back in February,’ a rep for Lozada told Entertainment Tonight, adding their main priority is their toddler son Carl Leo.
“Right now they are focused on being responsible and loving parents to their 3-year-old kid,” said the rep. “[They] do remain friends.”
Lozada, 41 reportedly currently resides in Arizona; Crawford in Houston.
The couple began dating shortly after Lozada ended her relationship with former NFL star Chad Ochocinco in 2012. Crawford asked for Lozada’s hand in marriage on Christmas Day in 2013.
The Los Angeles Dodgers star presented Lozada with a 14.5-carat diamond ring. The engagement ring was designed by Jason Arasheben, the CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills.
The couple struggled with fertility issues which were documented on the VH1 reality show.
During a December appearance on The Real, Lozada opened up about her efforts to have another child.
“I had three miscarriages in the last year and a half,” she told the women co-hosts. “So, fast forward, you don’t really realize how quickly your body changes.”
Before Crawford and Johnson, Lozada was romantically linked to NBA player Antoine Walker.
Walker hasn’t had many positive things to say about his former fiancee since ending their relationship almost a decade ago.
In a 2014 interview with Russ Parr Morning Show, Walker suggested Lozada was an opportunist who only sought him for his money.
“My thing with Evelyn is she reaped a lot of benefits of my wealth. And when it got tight, she chose to go a different direction. So that’s the problem that I have with Evelyn. That’s more personal…,” Walker said.
“I dated Evelyn for 10 years. In 1999, I signed my ninth deal in 1999. So she got to reap the full benefits of the whole process. She played her part.”
