Songstress K. Michelle doesn’t doubt the claims that R. Kelly is allegedly holding women against their will.

K. Michelle (born Kimberly Pate) addresses her relationship with the Pied Piper on a track titled “Build A Man ” where she refers to him as “controlling.”

“I’m not surprised by them,” she told Billboard of the allegations brought against Kelly. “I’m actually going to be speaking more about it because I do feel like it’s my obligation as a woman to tell the truth and to do right by other females that are in the business and all these young women who don’t have a voice.”

She continued, “So it’s been something that’s been toying and been really stressing me and I’ve been going back and forth with how to speak about it and how to do right for those girls and read some comments about one of the accusers.”

The “Can’t Raise A Man” singer said it was disheartening to read negative comments about the alleged victims and it immediately brought her back to the moment when she publicly revealed her past of domestic violence.

“I’ve dealt with other abuse and I tried to tell but when I was telling people were calling me a liar, they were bashing me, they were telling me I was hateful,” she said.

“To read those comments about these women, these young women, these little girls and how people were so naïve to reality or just didn’t give a fuck about the reality and to call these little girls liars and to really take them down, is something I don’t really know right now if I’m willing to stand aside and watch it happen.”

As previously reported, Kelly is accused of keeping women hostage in his Chicago and Georgia homes. According to a bombshell report by Buzzfeed, Kelly has several women in his care and controls their every move, including when they are able to use the restroom and what they wear.

One of the alleged hostages is Joycelyn Savage, whose parents insist is a victim at the hands of the R&B crooner. Despite their concerns, Savage told TMZ that she is safe and decided to cut ties with her family because they were overbearing and making her life difficult.

Kelly has denied all allegations.

Media But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness.

No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.
