Los Angeles police are looking for a suspect who wandered onto Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s California property early Friday morning.
The thief showed up outside the couple’s Bel Air home at around 4 a.m. local time and thrashed three luxury cars sitting in the driveway, TMZ reported.
The man never entered the residence and only made away with an iPhone after security personnel chased him away from the scene. The cell phone doesn’t belong to Kardashian or West but to a staff member who works with the Hollywood family.
Per TMZ, the same burglar also stole a purse from a car located at a home adjacent to the Kardashian-Wests. It was reported that Kathy Griffin is the owner. The purse was found a few feet away from Griffin’s home.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect and police are actively looking for the gentleman.
The alleged crime comes a year after Kardashian was the victim of brazen home invasion in Paris. Last year October, Kardashian was hogtied and placed in a bathtub as armed men raided her apartment and stole millions of dollars in jewels.
Kardashian along with her sisters Kourtney and Kendall Jenner were in the French city for Fashion Week.
Kardashian spoke of the harrowing event that left her traumatized, vowing to change the way she uses social media.
“Material things mean nothing. It’s not all about the money,” Kardashian said, according to a source via TMZ. “It’s not worth it.”
Famed Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld suggested Kardashian’s pretentious Instagram postings made her target.
“You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you,” the designer told reporters after his Chanel show on Oct. 4. “If you’re that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room.”
