Latina Linkup! Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez Collaborate on DJ Khaled-Produced Track ‘Dinero’

A Bronx girl’s dream is coming true for Cardi B.

It was revealed Tuesday (Feb. 6) that Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez have collaborated on a track titled “Dinero,” and it is set for release any day now.

Lopez, who also hails from the BX, confirmed the news in an interview with Latina.com

I feel like you already know that I collaborated with Cardi B,” reports People, via Latina.com. “The name of the song is ‘Dinero.’ I don’t know what the video is going to be yet but we’ll see what we come up with.”

It was in late 2017 when rumors began swirling that the two Latinas were working together after a studio session with DJ Khaled — the song’s producer — revealed the behind the scenes making of the track.  During the short clip, you can hear Lopez ask for more ad-libs from Cardi B

The turnaround of Cardi B’s life has truly been amazing, who was known to fans as an outspoken exotic dancer on Instagram.  Her popularity on the social media platform landed her a stint on VH1’s “Love and Hip-hop: New York” in 2015.

Cardi then left the reality series to focus on her budding music career and it has definitely worked in her favor. Her debut single, “Bodak Yellow” climbed to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Charts, dethroning Taylor Swift in the process. Not only did Cardi best Swift — who gifted Cardi a lovely flowers arrangement for her win — she also made history as the first female rapper to accomplish such a feat in more than two decades.

Since then, Cardi has collaborated with an array of musicians, including Bruno Mars on his “Finesse (Remix),” and might possibly join him on his worldwide tour. It’s safe to say Cardi is living the dream. But fame does have its downsides.

In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Cardi revealed that she misses her old life of anonymity.
