The woman who claims Trey Songz attacked her following a party during NBA All-Star weekend is speaking out.
Andrea Buera and her attorney Lisa Bloom held a press conference on Tuesday where they spoke of the alleged assault.
“I was attending an afterparty when Trey began yelling at me, choking at me … and ultimately knocked me to the ground,” Buera recounted of the February 17 quarrel. “While I was on the ground, he continued punching me and did not stop until his security guard pulled him off me.”
Buera claims the R&B crooner (born Tremaine Neverson) chucked both of their phones off of a cliff after she requested an Uber back to her residence.
“I was crying, terrified, in shock and I just wanted to go home,” a visibly-emotional Buera stated.
After the alleged attack, Buera said she sought medical treatment for her bruises and a concussion. She said the most difficult part of the entire ordeal was “having to explain this to my 7-year-old daughter” what had transpired.
Bloom intends to seek a permanent order of protection against Songz or anyone “acting on his behalf” as those close to Songz have continued to “harass” the young mother. Buera was granted a temporary restraining order against the 33-year-old singer last week.
A hearing for the injunction is set to take place on March 27 where Buera is expected to testify against Songz.
Songz could face jail time for a probation violation if Los Angeles authorities decide to pursue charges against him.
Songz was sentenced to 18 months of non-reporting probation after pleading guilty to two reduced counts of disturbing the peace in Detroit last August. The incident stemmed from a physical altercation involving Songz and a Detroit police sergeant.
Songz’s attorney, Shawn Holley told Page Six that her client hasn’t had any contact with Buera.
“Trey has not spoken with [her] nor has he attempted to speak with her since the night of the gathering,” she said.
Lisa Bloom has a few clientele who’ve been involved in celebrity scandals. Bloom represents Blac Chyna, who is currently embroiled in revenge porn case against her ex-fiance Rob Kardashian. The veteran attorney also represents Quantasia Sharpton, the young woman who says Usher exposed her to herpes.
