Nick Cannon is calling out the hypocrisy in Hollywood after Kevin Hart was forced to step down as host of next year’s Academy Awards.

On Friday, Cannon came to the defense of Hart – who was slammed for refusing to apologize for several-years-old homophobic tweets – by unearthing similar anti-gay tweets by fellow comedians Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, and Chelsea Handler.

In a response to a 2011 Chandler tweet that stated: “This what a f*g bird likes like when he flexes,” Cannon wrote: “Interesting. I wonder if there was any backlash here….”

A 2010 tweet by Silverman read: “I don’t mean this in a hateful way but the new bachelorette’s a f****t.”

Two years later Schemer wrote: “Enjoy skyfall f*gs I’m about to get knee deep in Helen Hunt #thesession.”

Schumer et al have yet to respond to Cannon.

Hart removed himself as the emcee of the 2019 Oscars on Thursday, after Motion Picture Academy Officials demanded that he again apologize for the missives.

“I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscars,” the 39-year-old funnyman tweeted.

“This is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.

“I’m sorry that I hurt people. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.”

The Academy has yet to name a new host.

Media But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness.

No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.
