The man photographed with Nicki Minaj in a recent selfie has been identified as a level two registered sex offender from New York.

Kenneth Petty, 40, has an extensive criminal record, including charges of first-degree attempted rape.

According to NYSexOffenders.com, Petty was convicted in 1995 for attacking a 16-year-old girl one year prior. He was sentenced to 18 to 54 months in state prison, that was to run consecutively.

Bossip reports that Petty, who also goes by the street name Zoo, has five children.

Petty later spent seven years in prison for fatally shooting Lamont Robinson, in Queens in 2002, according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Blast.

Petty looks to have transformed his life and is now a music executive. Per MTONews, Petty and Minaj — born Onika Tanya Maraj — are collaborating on several projects.

Minaj hasn’t been linked to anyone publically since rapper Meek Mill. They dated for almost two years before going their separate ways in 2016.

On “Barbie Dreams,” Minaj raps that Meek Mill is still in her DMs, which he refuted in an interview with Variety.

“I ain’t get no heads-up [about the song], but I definitely wasn’t in nobody’s DMs. And definitely wasn’t nobody ducking me, shit. That’s a fact,” he affirmed. “I actually was laughing at it, too. ‘Cause there’s no limits! I felt it and I liked it. That’s a dope rap.”

Of her dating life, Minaj told Ellen DeGeneres that she isn’t looking for anything serious and is casually dating around.

“Look, I’m just chilling. I’ve always been in a relationship my whole life. I was in a relationship since I was 15 years old,” she said in August. “This is the first time that I’m single, and I’m happier. I’m more free—and it’s OK.”

She went on to say, “I used to feel like I had to have a man, I swear. My whole adult life I felt like I had to have a man. I want the women out here to know you absolutely don’t.”
